Welcome to the Diss Family History Group webpages

The database has currently over 65,000 individual entries for named people in Diss and the surrounding villages and is steadily growing. Just as a taster, this page will show a list of the 50 most common surnames found.


The DFHG is starting a project based around the villages of North and South Lopham. It is in its infancy but to see what is already available please go to the project webpage. If anyone would like to take part in this then please contact Betty Morley.

Women Who Made A Difference, by Diss Family History Group. Throughout history there have always been Women Who Made A Difference. Here are the stories of some of them - some famous, some unknown. Fersfield Men Who Marched Away To The Great War - Commemorating the end of World War 1, 1914 - 1918. This is dedicated to those young men who left the village of Fersfield and enlisted to fight for King and Country.
