Arthur GARNHAM, son of Walter GARNHAM (c. 1854-1912) and Amelia DOVE (1861-1952), was born on 7 May 1884 in South Lopham, Norfolk. He was baptised on 2 December 1888 in South Lopham, the ceremony was conducted by Rev. J F BATEMAN, Rector. Very little is known of Arthur’s Great War military service except for references to Private 84793, 297th Field Company of the Royal Engineers in the 1918 South Lopham absent voters list and a World War I Pension Ledgers and Index Card. He died circa 1957 in North Lopham and was buried there on 4 May 1957 - aged 72 years.
