| Military: | Spencer was attested into the military on 12 May 1902 - No. 3 Battalion Royal Field Artillery Depot, Gunner, ser. no. 23297. Stated that he was in the 3rd Battalion Norfolk Regiment prior to this. On 13 May 1910 he was transferred to the Army Reserve. The last date mentioned in his service record was 15.04.1913 which said he was “absent”, by which time he was in Australia. |
