Military:No service record for Arthur could be found but he was private 33022, Royal Fusiliers, and then private 23572, 6th Battalion Dorsetshire Regiment. Arthur died on 8 June 1918. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission grave registration entry for Arthur was “HOGG, Pte. Arthur, 23572. 6th Bn. Dorsetshire Regt. 8th June, 1918.” Arthur is commemorated at Pozieres Memorial - Panel 54 to 56, stone no. 48, B.
