Military:Alga (Alganon) was called up on 11 July 1916 and was posted on 12 July 1916 to the 5th Middlesex Regiment, Private 32362. His service lasted for 2 years 62 days on home soil. This included 164 days Army Reserve Class W. He was discharged on 10 September 1918, physically unfit for War Service, "Always very feeble, inflamation of the lungs".
